Patriots sign first-round rookie OL Cole Strange, per reports

Patriots first-round rookie offensive lineman Cole Strange signed his contract Wednesday, according to NFL insider Adam Caplan.

Strange inked a four-year deal worth $12.25 million, per Spotrac. All first-round rookie contracts include a fifth-year team option. Strange was selected with the 29th pick in last April’s draft out of Chattanooga.

During OTAs and minicamp, Strange repped with the starting offense during team drills. He took most of his snaps at left guard, the same position he played in college. Strange is expected to fill the void former left guard Ted Karras left when he signed with the Bengals in free agency.

According to ESPN’s Field Yates, all 32 first-round draft picks are now under contract.

Following his Instagram page, second-round rookie wideout Tyquan Thornton signed his contract on Thursday.
