BASEBALL

In the Patriot League, Trevor Googins drove in Evan Yakavonis in the ninth inning, leading Whitman-Hanson (6-8) past Plymouth South 3-2. The victory gave Patrick Cronin the 500th win of his coaching career. … Mike Losordo blasted his first home run in a four-RBI day, pacing Hanover to an 11-4 win over North Quincy.

Jeff Charron belted a three-run homer, while Dan Surette added three RBI on two hits as Braintree (11-4) blanked Brockton 13-0 in five innings in a nonleague game. … Brian Foley pitched six shutout innings with nine strikeouts, and Charlie Walker homered twice and drove in five runs as Milton (13-2) topped St. Mary’s (Lynn) 6-0.

Ian LaForest had a good day from the mound and at the plate, throwing four hitless innings and batting 2-for-2 with two RBI as Waltham topped Weston 10-0 in Dual County League play.

Sean McNamara singled and hit two sacrifice flies, driving in three runs as Lowell Catholic defeated Greater Lawrence 12-2 in the Commonwealth Athletic Conference.

BOYS LACROSSE

Tim Souza netted four goals and Avery Richardson and Cole Rodgers had a hat trick each as Sandwich (11-2) bested Cohasset 15-5 in a nonleague matchup.

Conor Doherty tallied five goals and three assists as Billerica (11-2) defeated Chelmsford 15-6 in the Merrimack Valley Conference.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Ayla McDermod and Emma Dolan had three goals apiece as Hanover (7-5) defeated Whitman-Hanson 13-4 in a Patriot League game.

Elle Murphy scored four goals as Cardinal Spellman outlasted Fontbonne 16-6 in a nonleague contest.

In a Patriot League contest, Abby Hanna finished with three hits at the plate, driving in five runs as Hanover (10-4) erupted for a 16-3 victory over North Quincy. … Junior Jess Morrison hit two home runs, collecting eight RBI as Marshfield downed Duxbury 18-9.

Olivia Razza tripled and knocked in two RBI as West Bridgewater defeated Bishop Connolly 9-1 in Mayflower Athletic Conference play.

Sophomore Ilene Rickard struck out eight and surrendered no earned runs in a complete-game outing as Methuen (9-4) topped Central Catholic 5-2 in Merrimack Valley Conference action.

In the South Coast Conference, Brooke Orton went 3-for-4 with a double and a triple as Case coasted past Bourne 9-1. … Madison Medeiros threw a complete game to secure her 16th win of the season, while Lena Tsonis homered and drove in a pair of runs as Greater New Bedford (17-0) topped Somerset Berkley 3-1.

Piper Levin tripled and scored in the seventh inning to top off a 2-for-3 day at the plate and lift Notre Dame (Hingham) (9-3) to a 5-4 win over Ursuline in the Catholic Conference.

Mia Hansen tossed a three-hit complete game with 11 strikeouts, while sophomore Olivia Schultz went 3-for-3 with a two-RBI triple and two runs scored as Natick downed Millis 8-3 in a nonleague contest. … Sophomore Rina Chane finished 3-for-3 with four RBI, while junior Alex Welch homered and tripled for three RBI as Middleboro (11-3) routed Durfee 18-3 in five innings.

VOLLEYBALL

Jonathan Narsjo posted 15 kills and Son Nguyen had 27 assists to lead O’Bryant (14-2) to a 3-0 nonleague victory over BC High for an 11th straight win. … Jake Moser erupted for 20 kills, guiding Wayland (8-6) to a 3-1 win over Arlington. … David Gonzalo dished out 45 assists and Isaac Wedaman posted 16 kills, leading Cambridge past Brookline 3-1.

Ceazar Joseph stood out at the net with 13 blocks and 11 kills, helping Lowell (13-1) to a 3-1 Merrimack Valley Conference win over Billerica. … Theo Farag exploded for 27 kills and Victor Lam had 40 assists, lifting Chelmsford to a 3-1 win over North Andover.
